Martley History

Martley can trace its history back a long way. There is a very active Local History group who research the buildings and people in Martley, Wichenford and the surrounding areas in the distant and more recent past.

Local author and former Chair of Martley Parish Council, Dave Cropp, has written a number of books about the people who have helped to make Martley’s history interesting. The books can purchased at Martley Post Office.
