Caroline
and Mick Cassell welcome you to a "proper village pub" that
offers traditional food with a contemporary twist in a relaxed and spacious
dining area. Weather permitting, you can sit outside in the pleasant garden. The Crown sponsors the local football team, Martley Spurs, and raises money for The County Air Ambulance by receiving and selling books - there is a huge range, with something for every taste, from comedian and satirist Ned Sherrin to Chinese cookery! The Crown's name originated from the time when the King owned the lands in Martley. Many years ago the Crown Meadows was the site for visiting circuses, and Strictlands Amusements, which must have bought great excitement to the local children. |
