| 31st December 2008/ 1st January 2009 | Ringing the old year out and the New Year in at Martley, following a ringers meal at John & Jan Haydon’s home. |
| 27th December, 2008 | Lyn’s 3rd annual ringing outing, around Herefordshire – ringing at Withington, Madley, Preston-on-Wye, Staunton-on-Wye, Canon Pyon. |
| 6th December | At the Worcestershire & Districts Change Ringing Association AGM for the Western Branch, Rev. Robert Barlow was elected a member of the Martley Band of Ringers. |
| 30th November | Ringers served mulled wine and mince pies at the Martley Christmas Fayre in the village hall. |
| 29th August | Joined Hallow ringers on an outing to Lydbury North, Cardington, Hope Bowdler, Stokesay and Tenbury Wells. |
| 16th August | The ringers had a stand at the Martley Show with ‘Play your cards right’. |
| 11th August | Village
of the Year--judging. Ringers put on a display in Martley Memorial Hall,
showing various historical articles about the bells and ringers, up to
date events and various items connected with ringing. They finished off
with a trip to the tower to ring and thereby demonstrate the practical
side to the judges. |
| 10th August | Bellringers annual BBQ at Martin and Sue Currens |
| 31st July | Joe Crocker rang his first quarter peal in Martley tower. His wife, Sue completed hers on 16th October. |
| 24th July | Joined Martley District Change Ringers Guild on an evening outing to ring at Earls Croome and Ripple. |
| 11th July | Joined All Saints Worcester Ringers for ringing at All Saints, followed by a curry! |
| 28th June | Joined Martley District Change Ringers Guild on outing to Snitterfield, Sherbourne, Wellesbourne, Stoneleigh and Coventry Cathedral. |
| 25th June | Joined Hallow ringers on a mini-outing in the evening to ring at Upton-On-Severn, and Hanley Castle |
| 7th June | Joined Martley District Change Ringers Guild on a walk combined with a ride on the Severn Valley Railway. Ringing was at Bewdley and Arley. |
| 12th May | Joined Martley District Change Ringers Guild on a tour of the Crypt at Worcester Cathedral. This was followed by ringing the Cathedral bells. |
| 10th May | Martley Tower open day. Tower manned by some of the ringers. This was done as part of the Martley Church Fayre. |
| 27th to 30th March. | Sue
and Joe Crocker, Martley’s newest recruits, attended the annual Hereford Ringing Course from 27th to 30th March. |
| 14th March | The
ringers attended John Haydons ‘Leaving Do’ at Martley Village
Hall. John retired from teaching at Bishop Perowne School and a quarter peal was rung at the tower previous to his retiring party. |
