As predicted the proposal for 80+ houses on land behind The Crown was officially withdrawn by the applicant on March 31st.
However it is predicted that there will be a reapplication at a later date for 40+ houses, as already discussed without community consultation with Malvern Hills Planning Department, and also appearing on the South West Joint Core Strategy maps as a result of a meeting between three planning officers and three housing providers without the inclusion of any community representatives
Originally when the settlement boundaries were reviewed, the objection, which would have included this land area, was rejected by MHDC and by the Inspectorate.
Thus it flies in the face of logic, and democracy, that MHDC are entertaining the idea of changing their
decision at this time
