Lovely to see Scar cottage on the site my grandparents lived there after moving from an apartment at the Noak. Their names were Lawford and Francis Eastman I think they were there all of the seventies in the left hand cottage when facing it, with the doctors next door. I spent many a happy sunday with them and going for walks roud the "Nobbins" looking for the secret passageways that were ment to lead from the Noak and contain hidden treasures!. It only had an outside toilet and the bath was in the kitchen with a cover on it to make a table. The kitchen and pantry were carved straight out of the sandstone, consiquently it was freezing in there.
Anyway lovely to stumble accross it.
