Putting Tomkins Farm, Martley into Google I came upon Dorothy Smith's piece about wartime Martley.
I was born at Tomkins Farm in June 1940 and lived there with my brother John and parents Noel and Cicely Kemp till 1957 when the Gandertons bought the farm. Many of the names mentioned in the article ring bells.

I have now found the main Martley website and memories flood back - falling out of my pram on the hill up to Hope House is my earliest! Tieing up my pony on the postoffice porch. VE night on the Berrow. etc.
