I am trying to locate the Barnes family who resided in Martley in the 1930`s-1950`
Anna Marguritte died in the early 1950` and William James died in the 1940`s I believe. They had several children-Agnes Violet Beattie Fred & Harry.I am trying to put dates into the family tree.
I only have Harry`s dates so far. I presume that William and Anna were buried in the local churchyard and the rest move away. Can anyone help?
I would be grateful for any help.

I would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about a plaque that was attached to the West Gate of St Peter's Church, Martley, many years ago. It was dedicated to an Ida, or Ada Wakefield. The gate that gives onto Church Lane has long since been replaced and the plaque has disappeared. Who was Ada/Ida Wakefield? Hopefully someone reading this will be able to throw light upon the mystery.
If anyone has any information about this lady, please get in touch with The Villager (see page 29). Messages will be forwarded to Ray.
