Parish Link

I agree with the ideas that Tom Vale has suggested. The Parish Link has some restrictions about how we can use it, for instance different times or routes have to be applied for through the Govenrment's Transport department.

I think a shuttle service of a 15 seater (whoever provides it) would be far better than large 50+ seater buses going on and off from Martley with hardly any one on them. Also it's a good point about college

Also you understand that it is heavily subsidised, but I will take your proposal forward to the next joint meeting of the Parish Link group

Crown Meadow

I was appalled to see what the developers had done to the Crown Meadow, and feel that the greenspace should be re-instated. I am also very angry at the contemptous way in which the Parish Council has been treated.

Break-in

During the night of Monday the 21st of September a break-in occurred at Martley Primary School. The construction site of the new classroom and an outside steel builders container was forced open and a quantity of assorted Power Tools were stolen.

If anyone passing saw or heard anything suspicious, or is offered any builders type commercial power tools please contact the Police on 08457 444 888.

Bus Services

I am writing to suggest about the parish link timetable.I believe the
service and the people of the parishes will benefit from the day services
once again. If they were brought back then especially a bus running from
Martley at 8am going to the Worcester Country Park (once again)would see up
to 15 people use the bus at a time,as I and other students would find it
useful and cheaper than the unhelpful First bus services.Students need to
get to the college for 8 50am so could you please let everyone know if there
is a day service and respond to my idea please if it possible. Many thanks
Tom Vale.

Crown Meadow Destruction

There was uproar at the PC meeting last night when parishioners asked the PC committee why The Crown developers had been allowed to dig up The Crown meadow after the planning permission granted had specifically safeguarded it?

The Chair replied that he and the Clerk to PC had approached the contractors last Friday and they produced a set of modified plans (but not stamped by MHDC), dated 7th August (a Saturday). These showed areas of The Crown meadow being used for the new car park. It was pointed out by Chair and Clerk to PC that areas had been dug up that were not even covered by the modified plans.

Councillor Williams interjected that she had not been informed about any modified plans.

It was agreed that this was a disgraceful way to treat the PC and local Councillor - what was the point of having a local democracy if the district council was able to change agreed plans and not consult them (in breach of their supposed adherence to "Best Practice")

Please make your views known to the Parish Council to help strengthen their hand when dealing with this matter.

This resume written by the webmaster who attended the meeting and is produced in good faith. Any errors of fact should be reported to him.
