Parish Link

I agree with the ideas that Tom Vale has suggested. The Parish Link has some restrictions about how we can use it, for instance different times or routes have to be applied for through the Govenrment's Transport department.

I think a shuttle service of a 15 seater (whoever provides it) would be far better than large 50+ seater buses going on and off from Martley with hardly any one on them. Also it's a good point about college

Also you understand that it is heavily subsidised, but I will take your proposal forward to the next joint meeting of the Parish Link group

I agree with Tom that a bus enabling people to get to the Sixth Form College by 8.45am would be useful - as long as there was one back again at the end of the day! As a teacher there, I might use it too. The Chantry is one of the "feeder" schools for the Sixth Form College. It would make sense to enable Martley-based students to get to college.

Can we do something about the speed the potato/apple (not sure which they) tractors and trailers travel thro our village - they are heavy vehicles, heavily laiden and when they speed thro Berrow Green in the evenings (last night Wednesday 29th Sept the last tractor I heard was after 11.00) they seam to shake the foundations of the house! I am sure they DO NOT keep the speed limit of 30 miles per hour - does anybody know who they work for ?
