The Martley Web Mesh is an award-winning local co-operative venture which:

• Allows economical, high-speed broadband Internet access without the use of a telephone connection
• Is available to households and businesses in Martley and  district
• Costs £32 per month for the first 6 months then £12 per month (as standard) payable by standing order.  Payment includes all necessary equipment to connect a LAN-enabled computer to the Martley broadband Internet service.  Any extras such as LAN cards, extra computers wired to your installation or Internal wireless connections will be charged at equipment cost.  Surveys and estimates free.  
• Is installed and commmisioned for you, including help and personal advice in using the service provided free of charge.  Any problems -you talk directly to a local person, not to an unknown voice in a far off land.
• Last year received a grant from Nexus via Comunity First, which allowed considerable upgrading and expansion of the service. At the end of the project, Nexus wrote to say how impressed they were with the work of the Martley Web Mesh team of volunteers.

What computer equipment do I need?

Providing your computer is broadband-enabled, or capable of being enabled, then the Martley Web Mesh team of volunteers can provide all the necessary expertise, equipment and maintenance needed for you to participate in this locally-run scheme.  We can also provide wireless connections to laptops or PC's with suitable cards. Our initial survey will establish the suitability of your computer/s to join the mesh group. 
Advise freely given by a member of the team.  

Martley Web Mesh are proud to be the very first in the county to offer this innovative, but proven, high speed broadband access method.  Provided by local people, for local people, maintained, serviced and guaranteed by local people, on a voluntary basis.
